Health

Other

Suicides are deaths caused by intentional self-harm. Deaths with ICD-10 codes X60-X84 and Y87.0 as the underlying cause of death are recorded as suicides. Data are reported at the state and town level in 5-year aggregations. The historical 3-year aggregations (1999-2001 thru 2007-2009) of these data have been archived, due to CTDPH no longer providing town level data in 3-year aggregations.

AAMR is a mortality rate that has been statistically modified to remove the effect on mortality rates of different age distributions in different populations.
